Default App error and Locking up.

Please Login to Remove!

I have had my Bold for about a month now and I wanted to know if it is typical for it to freeze up or get an APP error and require a reset. It has done each about 3 times so far. Just this morning it got stuck on the Clock and needed a battery pull. Then just now it did the APP ERROR ### (I forget the number) and required a reset.

The number is pretty important. Have you installed any 3rd party apps or themes recently?

This might be caused by a third party app on your device...do you have any downloaded?

Nothing to recent but I have a bunch of crap. YouMail, GoogleMaps, Trapster, Viigo, Slackr Mobile, Flickr. All stuff off of Blackberry's App World. I am not sure but I think the number was 521 or five hundred something. I will be sure to write it down next time. Other then this issue I love this damn thing!

523 is a common error when it comes to 3rd party issues. When do you see this error?

Well it seems to be random as I usally go to check my phone and it is there, but I do have programs running all the time so it could be one of those. Next time I will get all the details for you. As for it freezing up and needing a battery pull any ideas on that?

That would be due to having lots of programs running in the background. Close out of them when you're not using them but pressing the menu key and selecting Close/Exit.

Just got locked up again and it was APP ERROR 523. I think the only aftermarket thing I had open was YouMail. Anyone else have trouble with that program?

Try removing the program and see if the issue persists.
