I have noticed on some Blackberry's that there is a search box on the browser just below the HTTP line.

It shows "Search here" and there is a drop-down listing "Google, Live Search, Wikipedia, Dictionary.com".

Does anyone know where I download this to install on a Blackberry Bold?

It all depends what OS version you have on your BB.

Both devices are Bolds running v4.6.0.266.

I can't see any differences between them!

Any other ideas?

Go to Browser, Options, Browser Configuration, do you have an option for defautl search provider.

The strange thing is that these Blackberry's seem exactly the same and with the same OS....

What about same carrier??? Sometimes the carrier blocks some apps.

Ive always had it, its been there since I first got the phone on .162 software and has been there ever since, now using .216 OS.

goto browser configuration. see if you got default search provider. I got 2 of BB bold her running .266 firmware. The one connected with BES got it, the other spare one doesn't. Looks depends on your BES admin...

Im not on BES and have that box.

Thanks for your replies, but they are both on the same BES server... Running 266... One shows the box, one doesn't!

Good news, after a couple of days of some real googling and a little bit of luck I've figured it out (had the same issue)... Just resend your service books to the device without the option and hey presto!
