Thumbs up Thanks for saving my BB

Please Login to Remove!

Just wanted to drop a note to say thank you to all that keep this site up to date and the information that is on it.

I am a long time BB user - 7290, 8800 and now 9000. I could not effectively run my business without it. But, like some posts I have saw I wish I could just set it up once and use it and not have to upgrade OS and so on. I was very reluctant to even try. Never once did i upgrage my other BB's.

My bold got to a point this week where i had the spinning clock constantly and it was very slow, even gave me error when trying to backup in DM and battery was HOT and would not last 3 hours. Doing battery pull every hour cause it would lock up. So I backed up all contacts and so on using Outlook sync and did a WIPE, used J_L Cmdr to restore to new, got the new 266 OS and installed on my PC and deleted vendor.xxx and loaded it up and synced my address book and so on.

BOLD is faster than ever, works better than it did new.

This all on a MacBook Pro running OS x and XP Pro.

Thanks again.

Please forgive me for my lack of understanding. What is this jl.cmd? (don't remember it exactly) kind of format? My new Bold is starting to have the spinning clock and running slowly. Only had it a little over a month now. I would like to do what is needed to get it back to preforming like it should. Thanks for any help.

The screen shots show a screen that asks, "which java loader do you want to use?" Which should I select?

The screen asks "which Javaloader command..."

You make the choice. If you want to wipe the device, choose wipe.
