New phone, new problems.
Hi peeps, just got a 9000 bold and would like to ask about a few concerns i'm having.
I am in England on the 3 network.
1. Should my phone have blackberry maps, how do i access it or down load it? I would like the maps to have voice so i believe google maps is a no go.
2. I have connected phone to my wireless network but it does not seem to use it for interent access how do i change this?
3. How the hell do i set up the phone to work with my email i can not seem to get it to work?

There may be a qucik solution to all of your questions-do you have a BlackBerry data plan from your carrier? This should enable all of the features that you are currently having challenges with.
3 does not currently offer BB data plans, so basically your screwed.
all three of your problems are due to not having a bb data plan.
Oh man, why do they not tell you this when you get the phone? Bloody phone sales people worse than car sales :x.
So do I have any options are 3 going to offer a data plan soon?
3 also don't sell BB's. so where did you get yours from?
With 3 not selling BB's I would say it doesn't look good for them getting BB data plans.

When looking at the OP post, I went to the three website and couldn't find it.
OP, are you on pay as you go 3 or contract 3? if contract, you should be able to call them up and ask to add the bb data plan.
as it does mention a BB email add-on.
col748, welcome to the forum. If you're paying the extra cost for the Blackberry Email & Internet Add On just go to BlackBerry Internet Service and register your IMEI and PIN (they can both be found on the box your Blackberry came in. If you cant locate the box remove the battery and they can be found on the sticker underneath, or Options -- Status from your handset.
When you register your details on the site you'll have options on the left hand side to setup your mail accounts. When you do, select the last option and resend your service books, do a battery pull for good measure and you're all set when your handset comes back on.
As the OP didn't know about the bb data plan, I don't think they have it.
As I said, they would have to call 3 to inquire.
Call your carrier and see if they offer BIS, this is what you need.
