Default PLEASE HELP!!! Trackball not scrolling to the right

Please Login to Remove!

I got my bold early last week. For some reason the trackball is not scrolling to the right. Any ideas on what it could be and what I can do to fix it? When I scroll to the right I do not hear any clicking sounds like I would if I scrolled in any other direction.

I had a user report the same issue today. They had already done a battery pull too. Not sure what else to do other than disassemble and clean.

Yea, I already did a battery pull. Are there any How To's on this forums about how to disassemble and clean a 9000? Cleanliness shouldn't be the problem, it was working fine, hands weren't dirty or anything. put it back in the case and when I went to use the phone again, it didn't scroll to the right.

Press down on the trackball and move in all directions. That should do the trick

Trackball is not scrolling right...that sounds more like a hardware issue than software...
I'm no BB expert - relatively new in this field actually, having owned my bold for just over a month - but I'm a software developer.
That's something I would definitely take back for a repair...

All you need to do is as koleary said.
hold trackball, scroll around for a good few minutes and it will become "unstuck" as it were.
Its likley some dust/lint etc is behind the trackball on the right side, doing the above "trick" will work it lose and it should work again.

if taking it out, cleaning it, and a can of air doesn't work...just replace it. try Calan Mobile - Blackberry Cell Phone Parts, Accessories and Repair -. Use coupon code DEPOT10 for 10% off.
