My new Bold (UK - O2 network) has Documents To Go pre-installed. Has anyone read the license when starting one of the apps for the first time? It specifically prevents you from electronically transmitting the program, it's files
and results to any other computer. I queried this with DataViz who had not realised the implications of that statement and are checking this with their legal department. I am waiting for a reply as I cannot agree to this license restriction and am therefore not using the suite.
Also, curiously, neither RIM nor O2-UK know who loaded the software in the first place, and refer to each other in a continuous loop!
So, beware. For the time being, users of the pre-installed version of Documents To Go may be breaking the copyright contract if output (results) is / are shared with anyone else or transferred to any other machine.
