Recommended IM Clients and IM Client problem (No BIS)

Hi Team.

A little while ago, I had the problem with the BIS not working with the Apps.

Now that I have the TCP setup properly. Apps are all fine. Gmail App, Twitter, Facebook etc.

I still seem to be having trouble with IM Chat Clients. Msn, Yahoo etc.

They install fine but then afterwards, it saids 'Service not enabled for this handheld' or something similar.

What's the deal with this? Am I missing something?

Also, I found something called Instantgo.

Are there any other recommended IM Clients? :bb:

Cheers

Beejive IM from Jivetalk, I've used it for ages, well worth the moneys I paid.

Wirelessly posted (My Bold)

It sounds like a service book is missing. However, I also use beejive. Its 20 bucks and its well worth every single penny. U can do just about every IM protocal in one program

I had nothing but problems from BeeJive and their service is horrible it went up and down like a yo-yo. I switched to IM+ and I have never looked back and there interface design is amazing. It allows you when you go off line to switch to push service so when it's an accidental disconnection their servers keep you online and send you an email if someone messages you. This is so wicked because now i can go offline on my device and receive push messages and reply to them via email. Plus their grid layout to show who's online is so useful. It is well worth the money and light years ahead of BeeJive in technology and reliability.

Nice. Might check those out guys... thanks for the recommendation.

But any other ideas as to why Yahoo and MSN Live aren't working for me?

Particularly weird since other Apps work (Gmail, Googlemap, Twitter, etc)

Those are RIM apps and require a BlackBerry data plan AFAIK.
