Default Appointments in different time zones not synched properly

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Here is the situation, I am currently in the process of planning a trip to London (GMT) and I am currently in the EST Time zone.

In Groupwise, I'm setting up my meetings with the option time zone set to London time... so far everything is good. The problem is that when it is synched to my blackberry, it sets the meeting at EST time so when I change my time zone to London time, the meetings are all messed up.

Is there a reason why when I set the meeting to a different time zone that it uses the current time zone of my blackberry?

We are running BES 4.1.1.10 for Groupwise and Groupwise 7.0.2

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Does this FAQ help you any to understand how to set appointments for varying time zones?

Yes I have seen this before and it is the way I setup my meetings but the problem seems to be that when the BES syncs from my mail client to the blackberry, it changes the time zone back to EST instead of the GMT I have set.

This means that I have set a meeting for 9AM GMT in my mail client... then when it syncs to the blackberry, it sets the time to 9AM EST and when I get to London and manualy change my time zone on the device to GMT, the meeting changes to 2PM.
