Time before screen fades?

So after a certain amount of time, my Bold will turn it's screen off. I forget where that option is, but I know it is something I set somewhere. Can someone tell me please? Anyhow, more specifically what I am after is how if I have by default, my screen to turn off after 30 seconds, that if I have a certain application open, it won't turn off at all. So if I am using my GPS in my car, I would prefer the screen not to fase while that application if open and in the front or in use. Is there a way to set this so that some applications will force it won't to turn the screen off? Also, my Bold is set to be password protected. I just recently set this figuring it is a good idea. Is there any more control over when it actually locks it? In other words, if I holster my Bold, but then pull it back out to do something else real quick, that I don't have to type in the password again if it hasn't been more than 5 minutes or soemthing to that effect? Any other suggestions with things like this please? Thanks much, I appreciate all the help!

There is a program called Keyboard Locker that has that option when using a GPS application. It also has the option to lock the keyboard after a specific time (user defined). So you would disable the lock when holstered option and turn that option on. You can get the application at Welcome to BEIKS mobile!.

I don't know if it really prevents the screen from fading while using a GPS application, you will have to read the info about it to see which applications it "respects".

Oh, did I mention that its FREE????

Sweet!!!
