Default Ideal Setup for Bold, Outlook2007 and Gmail

Please Login to Remove!

So I recently got laid off and had to make major changes to my personal IT infrastructure. I'm trying to get my Outlook 2007 configured with gmail to sync flawlessly with my BB.

I'd like to be able to accept/send calendar invites, send/receive emails and sync contacts and have changes made in either platform (handheld, laptop or web) get replicated to the others.

I've read a lot on the boards and spent time trying to understand google mobile sync. GMS seems to have a copule of issues that lead me away from their solution.

Does anyone have details on the ideal configuration?

At the moment, I'm thinking that only a Hosted BES solution or manual sync are my options.

I'd love your feedback, ideas and suggjestions.

Thanks

I think hosted BES is your best option if you can afford it.

The GMS has two components to it to get it to work properly. I have been able to get it going for a friend that has Outlook 2003 and a Bold. It has been working ok for e months now.

The Setup
---------
Outlook 2003
Goolge Sync desktop application
Bold
Google Sync mobile version.

The Configuration
-----------------
Installed the desktop app and enter the login credentionals, set it up for two way sync. Installed the mobile app, and entered the required credential.

I allow the desktop app to go ahead and do a full sync of what's in Outlook and what's on the web. Had a few duplicates, so we deleted and then waited for the next cycle (just to see it work by itself). Deletion was replicated to the web and both were in sync. We then activated the mobile google sync for one way from the web to the device.

All the appointments came in nicely and then we did an addition/deletion in Outlook first and that replicated throughout nicely, then we tried it from the web and that too came through nicely. I then activated two way on the device and made an addition, and that replicated across nicely as well.

So as I said its been going good for awhile now and I have not heard a complaint.

I too have a similar setup with Outlook 2007, google desktop sync and google mobile sync. Took a few changes to eliminate dups but it has been clean for months.

Do these comments saying everything is OK pertain to the Address Book, Calendar, or Both? I used the same method and did ok on the calendar. Address Book not so much.
