Default Bold Blackberry Messenger question

Please Login to Remove!

HI all... just got a Blackberry Messenger from my cousin from Amsterdam just want to know if it costs me anything to receive/ send internationally using Blackberry Messenger.

Also, when I turn off Data Service in my Bold ( when I travel overseas) , does the Blackberry Messenger still works?

Wirelessly posted

If you're on your local network then BlackBerry messaging to anywhere in the world is FREE. If your roaming, then you will be charged.

I don't think the BlackBerry messenger will work with data off, unless you're on wi-fi. If its on wi-fi, then don't think you will be charged.

AFAIK, BBM will not work without a data plan even over wifi.
