Annoying Clock Problem
Hi, guys. This may seem like a simple problem, but I bought my Bold on eBay and it didn't come with a User Guide. Thought I can figure it out myself, but I can't. Maybe you guys can figure it out?
When selecting the clock application, I have this annoying red icon on the bottom right. It looks like a Blackberry unit between two sets of parentheses, and to its right is a time that reads "8:30AM." These are all in red letters, and I can only guess from fiddling around that it is an indicator for Auto On. An initial search through the Options icon revealed in "Auto On/Off" did show a setting of Weekday disabled "Turned On At: 830 AM." I went ahead and changed it to 6:00 AM and saved it.
Fixed? No way. When I select the Clock application, I see the current time and still that irritating red "8:30AM" on the bottom right. Any way I can clear that out or fix it?
you have an alarm set. click your trackball and select 'off'
in clock, click menu, set alarm.
then click the track on the part that says on (in the pop up) scroll to off.
Its actually a reoccurring alarm set in your calender. If you want to get rid of it you will need to delete it from your calender.
Thank God for BlackBerry forums! Novalovr66 was correct. The problem was a recurring alarm from the Calendar. What appeared to be a BlackBerry icon was actually a calendar icon.
That is one less headache for today. Thanks, novalovr66!
i have a similar issue
i have a similar problem to this
my alarm goes off at 05:30 on the 10th of every month
i cant find any calendar entry or alarm entry for this
or find a way to stop the alarm
in calendar options i didnt have show task/alarms enabled
once enabled i could see the offending entry and delete it
did you create a recurring task?
GO to Menu ( key next to Green call key) option, Click on Clock Icon, then when you see clock with RED numbers
then click on Menu -- Set Alarm then scroll trackball to OFF
Press Return Key ( next to Red key call end)
Save this option and you are DONE!
As far as not having a manual...go to Blackberry.com and download the Bold manual. It's a .pdf file, so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.
If you don't have the Blackberry Desktop Manager, you may as well download that too.
