Default How Can I Install Russian Language To My Bold?

Please Login to Remove!

The title speaks for itself. I speak Russian and I would like to send emails and other messages in Cyrillic to and from friends in Russian-speaking countries. I bought a Russian keypad for my Bold, but it would be useless without Russian installed in the firmware. Does anyone here know how to install Russian language support on my Bold?

So far I've tried the latest multi-language Desktop Manager and it had an option to install Russian. However, any Russian character I press on the keypad shows up as a question mark. Anyone have any ideas on what to try next?

Problem fixed, guys. The latest Desktop Manager will install Russian in seconds. From the Options menu you select Language and pick one of three Russian inputs. Stay away from United States Russian because Romanization of Russian will not jive with this input method. Multitap is better for manual entry (because there aren't enough keys for the Russian alphabet, six keys have two Russian characters) and the standard Russian Federation is good if you use predictive text/word entry. I recommend buying a Bold 9000 Russian keypad on eBay for the best results.

The question marks I posted earlier were simply due to the fact that after selecting an input language, I did not save the language settings. After selecting an input language and then the menu button and Save, I was already in business writing messages xxx1087;xxx1086;-xxx1088;xxx1091;xxx1089;xxx1089;xxx1082;xxx1080;. It works very well.

I have unreadable Cyrillic on my BB 9000 Bold only in Address Book - all contacts received from MS Outlook 2003 are unreadable. Please advice do you have such a problem and/or how to solve. Thanks.
