Default Bold seeing two drives upon connecting via usb to my home computer

Sorry for not searching this time-I'm at work!

When I usb connect my BB Bold to my home computer, two windows pop up indicating two drives. (Possibly internal memory and the media card?) I have a SanDisk 4GB media card I've carried over from the BB 8310.

Also, the video (avi movie files) seem to disappear on each battery pull/reboot.

One is device memory, the other is your SD card. I label them accordingly so that I know where I'm copying files when I connect to my computer.

Not too sure about your disappearing .avi files. I would suggest that you backup the data on the SD card, disconnect the device from the computer, then use the BlackBerry to format the card, by going into Options|Memory, then activate the menu and format the card. Then connect the device back to the computer and copy over your data again. Then check to see if your .avi files still disappear.

KJ!

Followed your directions: Still getting the same result upon copying the .avi files. It's odd-I copied the .avi files (2 movie files) to both drives just to see what would happen. I'm seeing both files on the computer in both video folders, but not on the 9000.

Gonna keep trying some things. I'll report back!

BTW-this phone is great! 3 BlackBerry phones (8100, 8310, and now the 9000), could not have performed anything computerwise w/o the quality assists within the BB Forums Communities!! I most appreciate the insight!

That is weird. Is the device disconnected when you check to view them on the phone? Can't think of any other reason why they would disappear.

The device is disconnected when I try to view the movies files. When the device is connected to the computer, it won't allow me to see the media card until I disconnect the device from the computer.

I can see the movie files on the device. However, after rebooting (Quick Pull 2.0 and manually pulled the battery), the files no longer show up in the device video folder(s).

Still trying as an answer will come...
