How many times can people ask the same question... you have enhanced call audio turned on. In this case, you have bass boost enabled. Go to your phone options to turn it off.

click the green button
click menu
options
general options
at the bottom it says enhance handset call audio.
if this is set to boost bass or boost treble
this is what is causing the icon.
this is also true for the option underneath that
enhance headset call audio
