Does anyone knows about any s/w for Bold 9000 that can digitize the caller’s name from the address book/

When they are calling/texting etc it tells you who it is?

I dont know of anything that does that.
you could of course record a voice note of the name, and it may then be possible to make that the ringtone.

its a nice feature, the Nokia e71 does it and I got used to it.

Use a free audio software (audacity/goldwave/etc) and record your own voice saying the persons name, save it as mp3 and set it as a custom ringtone. Aside from that no other way that I know of

Sounds like HollerID is what you are looking for:
