Default slow browsing

I'm very dissapointed with my browsing speed. It's so painful that I tend to only vist text based sites.

Using Xtremelabs speedtest app I can only attain download speeds of 100kbps with my 3G carrier (Vodafone NZ). The weird thing is that the same test when connected to my home WIFI is only 300kbps, yet from my laptop I get 10mbps+. Does the BB Bold constrain speeds that much? A test on an iPhone, same location and time resulted in speeds 4x faster....

Did you try searching for help?

Maybe this will help, even though it is about the Curve: Internet speed

Also the BB Browser renders pages slow. You may have better luck using Opera Mini or Bolt. They're both free 3rd party browsers the load pages quickly as the pages are loaded on their server, not the device.

And welcome to the forums
