Default BlackBerry Bold Password

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, yesterday my director's Bold had some type of software corruption (i think the theme). Everytime we restart the device, this error comes up:
uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException
I therefore got another Bold and did a device copy. All went well. Even the password worked.

This morning he is trying to unlock the device but it's getting incorrect password. He already tried it 5/10. He is on a BIS from our local Carrier GO. Is there a way i can reset this password without him losing anything?

if i'm not mistaken, if the password doesn't work then you have to wipe your device. i'm sure you must be having a backup if you switched phones?

i think this is the only solution, i'm not a 100%.

Dudette is right. Once a password is set, the only way to unlock or remove it is entering the current password or wiping the phone. Hopfully you have a back-up.

Is there a chance he has caps or num lock on? Has he entered BlackBerry yet?

I would have him try removing the battery and trying again.
The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
When you take things for granted, the things you are granted, get taken.
Even a mosquito doesn't get a pat on the back until it starts to work.
Too many people miss the silver lining because they're expecting gold.
