Hey guys, Ive been trying out a few things on my blackberry like uploading pics straight to facebook while out etc.

Anyhow I uploaded them last night and looking at my phone this morning I noticed something odd.

The facebook `f` logo in blue is on the top left of my blackberry screen where the Text alert usually is.

Theres also a number that is changing constantly. It was at 9 this morning now its at 19 ?

Any idea what this is and how to get rid of it (e.g. to get rid of the text alert you just open the text/email)

Also any other qwerky little gimmicks I might not know about using facebook with my BB would be nice so share the knowledge

Lastly I was trying to do the same with Twitter but my phone doesnt have the "Send picture to twitter option" like it does with "Send picture to facebook/myspace"

Go into the facebook app, go to notifications
I bet you there will be items that are in bold, such as comments, wall posts, etc.

This is the notification that you have a message/comment etc.
Emails that come from facebook about such notifications are intercepted by facebook and alert you by the f icon in the home screen header.

also, with twitter, you must have a twitter client installed, that supports twitpic, and install via the twitter app. I have ubertwitter installed and it does give the option in the menu to "send to ubertwitter" though i never got it working.

It all comes clear, I always thought that I had facebook app installed but it seems I didnt, I guess I should try and install myspace properly too. any idea how?

If you have the facebook notification i.e. an F with a number next to it, it means you do have facebook installed.
The facebook notification is NOTIFYING you of messages.
Do you have a facebook icon in your app screen? possibly in downloads or applications folder?

You dont seem to understand how the app works.

I thought it was installed when in actual fact it wasnt.

Sending a pic for the first time last night got it installed properly and I fully understand it now

Right! good. so you know that when you see an F icon with a number, you have a notification, you need to go into the app, notifications and view!

erm, I know of ubertwitter, twitterberry for BB.
From googling it would appear twitterberry is your best bet for twitpic support.

Excellent, It seems you can just email twitter pics so thats all good.

Video's are quite hard to upload heh

Twitterberry looks ace. But I keep trying to update and getting `Network request failed` :(

Not sure If its configured right or how... ill keep messing.
