Default Data roaming - am i being charged?

Please Login to Remove!

I am a USA AT&T customer vacationing in Cozomel Mexico.
I have a BB Bold and the $30/mo ATT data plan. What kind of
roaming charges am I incurring (if any) for internet use on my
phone, EDGE vs WI-FI? Receiving & sending email? SMS?

I honestly don't recall if ATT includes Mexico in their normal Unlimited BB Data Plan. I do not think so.

You can go to Manage Connections > Mobile Network and UNcheck your ATT connection and still use the WiFi for data and email, browser, etc.

Set your Options > Advanced > Browser to Hotspot Browser.

You should be on an International Plan if you want to use data (and voice for that matter) or just leave everything turned off., otherwise you might get a surprise bill. I was on a 4 day cruise in the Caribbean and got a $200 voice and data bill. Company paid it but it was still a lot I thought.

I think ATT still forces you to keep the Intentional on for a year before you change it however.
