Wondering if someone can help me out. For whatever reason my bold will not load through conventional route of desktop manager or apploader. I found this out the hard way after wiping device! So now I am stuck with a bold with no way of loading an OS. I have made some headway however. Javaloader can access bold and load cod files and cfp.exe works as well. I loaded successfully all of the cod files from the 4.6 os and how now got the phone to display the app 200 error instead of 507 error. My question is. Has anyone successfully loaded an operating system using javaloader only? If so please shed some light on how to successfully do this. Any help is appreciated.

I don't think that's possible.

you can reinstall your OS using the following command line "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader.exe -nojvm" what it does is connect directly to your hardware not the java Virtual Machine which by the sounds of it got wiped. download your OS you want to install remove the vendor.xml and run that command and it will ask you to select your device plug in your Bold it will detect it pick the PIN from the list and away you go.. base OS only install no extras........

I got to the same spot it always gets to before the process stops. as soon as it uploads ram image, the bar scrolls across and phone turns off, never to come back on again. I have manage to get all of the cod files on the phone but can't get past app 200 error. I have 742 modules; 65630304 bytes total loaded on phone so far. do i need to get a sfi file on it as well?

here is the exact error message i get, possibly this will help identify what is missing. app error 200 application manager threw net.rim.vmmissing native error

You have to actually at one point unplug and plug back in your phone. If you see it get to a point where it is waiting for something to happen you can unplug your device pull the battery and put the battery backin, plug it back in to USB and it will reboot and finish the process.

ya tried many times. If I pull the cord the apploader errors out as it loses connection. I have been tinkering with this for months. The only thing that will load the device is javaloader. I think the rom is locked or something.

Only thing I can suggest is following some guidelines for changing you vendor ID cause that requires almost bricking your phone dead to load on the new Vender ID

I never tried that before. At this point I might as well have bricked phone. how do i go about this. just search how to change vendor id on blackberry?

Because of the nauture of the software it was leaked from RIM to do it It can't be discussed on the forums how to do it because it violates the EULA

You can't do it.

Javaloader -u wipe
Javaloader -u resettofactory

c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

loader -nojvm

That's the only way.

Just wondering if you have the handheld OS installed properly on your PC...

I have no os installed. I wiped it because I took advice from someone on this forum (silly me lol) who told me to wipe it then install new os. This phone is right from rim and must have a lock in the rom or bios or whatever which prevents it from being updated. I have read everything and tried everything. I have only had some success with javaloader in loading all of the cod files from apploader on the phone. I got the 507 error to app200 error but can't move on from there.

wipe it with javaloader, in dos, javaloader -u wipe

install .282 OS listed at sticky top screen.

delete vendor.xml in program/common files/rim/ not sure folder at top of screen list in that rim folder it will be there

then

go into c:\program files\commons files\research in mortion\apploader and open loader.exe.

Do not connect your bold yet, and let it sit at the 507 error screen, now when you get to the COM selection screen, plug in your bold, it will say your PIN after once second or 2, immediatly click Next and it will load the OS of your choice after selecting options you want.

I think this is because when 507 no OS error is there, bold is stuck in continous reboot and doesn't connect to desktop manager correctly. Let us know if it worked. You can also wipe your bold for completely and get 507 error with JL_cmder and load new OS from scratch.

If the phone is new warrenty it. Your allowed to upgrade it. Not like its against the rules. Tell them it screwed up and they will replace it
