Default Keeping e-mail folder in sync - 07-01-2009, 09:32 AM

I've got my Bold getting e-mail from my IMAP server.

If I read / delete mail from the blackberry this is also done on the mail server, however if I read / delete e-mail from my PC, the blackberry still shows the item as unread, and doesn't remove it when it is deleted.

Is there a setting I've missed for this?

cheers,

Nope, to my knowledge the only true 2 way sync is only available through BES.

Phoenix It's usually one way sync on them, except for a few functions (i.e. mail read) but that's about it, very limited.

But yes, true two way sync is only done if you have a BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) Environment to connect to.

Hope that helps

IMAP is just one way sync : wireless delete, wireless read/unread, save sent item ( depend server configuration )

This is true.

Pop3 is one way
IMAP is partial 2way
BES is the only really 2way
