Default Qs for existing Bold Users - 2 devices/1 comp

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all...hoping you can help me with a q....my husband recently bought a Bold and I'm close to getting one as I love his but want to find out the following:

- We have one desktop computer for both of us. As I understand it, if we both have separate user accounts on the computer, our information (email, calendar, contacts etc) will be kept separate for each of our blackberries?

- Do we need separate copies of the desktop manager? Currently the software shows up on both our user accounts on the computer. I'm guessing that when we plug in our respective devices it will tell by the Serial/ID # which one is which?

-Also, I previously had a Palm Z22 with all my info synced to MS Outlook. Will this automatically be synced to the Blackberry or will I need to perform some extra step?

Thanks in advance.

Respectively:

-Yes, only the info you want to be shared would need to be 'specifically' selected, so everything would be kept seperate.

-No you do not need separate copies, it will recognize the devices individually unless both are connected simultaneously, and if so they would be recognized by the Serial/ID#.

-To set the Outlook Contacts Sync. all you have to do is open the Desktop Software, select "Synchronization" and in the left side, under "Configure", select
"Syncronization", and again for the menu items... and from there you choose what you want sync'd and how.

Hope you enjoy your BB Bold !

Wirelessly posted (8300)

Are you on a BES?
Desktop manager likes to "par" with one and will always ask you if you wish to switch devices(domt hit switch) and you should still be able

there is an option to select which outlook profile to sync to... Though not sure if you have two different workstation logins will you be able to select between the 2..
