Default Bold charging problem!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I haven't posted in ages as I've had no problems, until now!

I was away over the weekend and didn't have my charger, the battery died and I thought nothing of it until I got home and tried to charge it. When I plug it in nothing, all that happens is that the battery light flashes on and off but that's it.

Any idea's what I should do as I don't want to have to shell out for a new one etc!

Thanks

thats what is supposed to happen.
if the battery is completely dead leave it a good 4-5 hours before trying to turn it on.
even then, leave it overnight until it stops flashing.

So should I leave it over night before plugging it in to charge it?

Also should I take the battery out while I leave it?

Thanks

the battery is dead right?
you need to charge it overnight, until the battery indicator stops flashing.

if you take the battery out all you've got a phone that wont work without a battery and a dead battery.

Yeah the battery is dead,

I was getting a bit confused as some things I've read have said that I should take the battery out and leave it over night before I try and charge it.

But you say I should leave in and just charge it over night?

It's just it's not the standard light you get when charging, it flashes once then off then 3 quick flashes and off and it all repeats its self, is this normal if the battery is totally drained?

its trying to boot up on a dead battery because you've taken it out and then put it back in
i would say, put the battery in.
plug into a charger
and leave it charging.

I don't think it's trying to boot up, because it only flashes when it's plugged it not when I replace the battery.

oh well...
indeed strange, but you still need to try and charge it to see if there is any problems.

Ok, I've had in plugged in charging for about 12 hours and all I'm getting is this odd flashing light, that flashes on then off then 3 quick flashes and then off and then repeats!

This is starting to worry me now as I'm with out a phone and don't really want to send it out as I've got some work email that are quite sensitive on it!

if you have a problem, post your own thread, using proper words and sentences.

Right I've decided to try the wipe with Jl Cmder, however I can't get past the command prompt bit,

I'm a Mac user, so have no idea about PC's and my brother has no idea either. I can't change the bit C:\ from Documents and Settings\Ben>. Does anyone know how to do this?

desktop manager only works on a PC not a mac, so that wont work.
I dont know about jlcmder however.

try pm-ing jsanders as he can probably help you more.
