Default Orange UK - questions on internet connection and deleted emails

Please Login to Remove!

Hi
Am using the bold via Orange and noticed that connecting to surf the web the connection is VERY slow compared to my sons Nokia.

Is there a setting I need to alter to speed up connection?

Also whehn I get emails they seem to auto delete after a couple of days (received only) and I cant seem to find a setting that allows me to choose what gets deleted and what stays on the device.

Thanks for your input

no setting.
you are connected via GPRS? 3G? wi-fi?

firstly, go to MESSAGES icon, then press the menu button, then go to options - general options. scroll to the bottom where it says keep messages: and change to desired amount. this is for ALL messages i believe.
secondly, messages of any type, call logs etc get deleted when you are low on memory.
check this by going to options - memory and looking at the "app free: " memory.

the browser isnt the best in the BB compared with other phones native browser.
BB compresses the data alot more too.

wi-fi should be alot better.

you could try downloading opera mini browser for the bb, which might behave slightly faster.
