In short ............ nope!

It is not a case of the BB Browser taking control away from OperaMini, but rather OperaMini initiates the BB Browser as it is not equipped to handle downloads.

If you have initiated a download through OperaMini it will initiate the BB Browser download manager. This is not a "Problem", its just how it works.

Sounds like something is messed up there, your BB should not be crashing simply by clicking the trackball a couple of times.

I can download from operamini.when I click on something to d/l it says save or open then a screen opens and says operamini is trying to open loacal content and if I want to allow. I say yes then pick where to save and I'm done it downloads to my sd card and I'm done. I have downloaded lots of files with it.

It doesn't crash it gives me the allow option sometimes. Other times I don't have a problem. And if the selection screen of where to d/l is the browser screen your talking about or are you talking about thew browser opens and connects to d/l

hi dear jaguar
thanks for your replays, but why little man don't have this problem and he can download with opera mini without bb browser?!
i asked these question becaus i live in iran and i want to download the gmail app from m.google.com, but the site is closed to iranian ip (i don't know why and what is the reasone for this policy when we can use google.com and they made our language one of languages in google translation service!)
anyway, when i wan't to go to site with my bb browser, it can't open because that policy, but with opera mini i/m able to go to m.google.com and gmail app download page, but when the dl link redirect to bb browser that damn message apears and says you cann't use this sire in your country!
i also make contaxt with google peoples and they said we should uptain our government!
so what can i do now? can u guys do me a favor and send me another link to latest version of gmail app or is there any chance to have desktop installation files for installing the app with bb desktop manager?

thanks again and sorry for my poor english friends

Send me a private message with your email address; I am pretty sure I could get the .jad file and email it to you. I don't recall seeing a desktop install for it.
