Default wireless connection 9000

Hi, i have recently reinstalled the software in my Bold 9000 and the wireless doesn't seem to work. It is connected and picks up available signal etc and is connected with the provider's name at the top of the screen. Everything is right but when i try to go to a web address it says i need to have a working connection, ie the phone tells me it is connected wirelessly but doesn't actually work! Any help would be appreciated as always!

go to host routing table under options advanced
click menu -register now.

also try a battery pull.
