Default Sending SMS to a Group

Please Login to Remove!

In my old 8820 I could send an SMS to a Group very easily. When I tried on my new Bold it told me the radio wasn't switched on. How the hell do I do that?

The "user guide" that comes with the phone may as well be used as toilet paper for all the good it is and there are so many menus and sub menus it's almost impossible to find anything.

I've just spent two hours slowly going crazy looking at every sub menu I can find to see how to switch this radio on.

HELP!!!!!!!!

If you look at the upper right corner where you normally see EDGE or 3G, you most likely see OFF right now. Go to you Manage Connections icon and put a check next to Mobile Network.

The answer above will tell you how to turn your radio back on but if you are still wondering hopw to send a group SMS...

You must first go to your contacts and create a group.
Then add all the contacts you want to the list and click save.

Then click on the group and compose SMS. BAM!

Hi Jarrod623... thanks for nothing! If you'd actually read my post you'd have seen I was able to send messages to a group when I used my old 8820. Setting up groups is exactly the same in both phones, so why do you think I could do it with one phone but not the other?

The problem actually lay in the handset itself (all of a few hours old) which was faulty... that's the 8th faulty Blackberry I've had in a little under 2 years!! Can't wait for my contract with Orange to end so I can move to O2 and get an iPhone!!!
