Default photos and .rem - 07-21-2009, 11:06 AM

hi guys,

i have took out my memory sd and put in laptop but it wont recognise the photo files, it says the file name and .rem what is this and could someone help.

I thought that i could just drag and drop but no point until i can view the pics.

its a bug in the OS, I think it was 244 that had it but im not sure.

.rem means that Content Protection was enabled on your BlackBerry device and those files can only be viewed by your BlackBerry. You will not be able to view them otherwise. You will need to disable Content Protection from within the Security Options, General Settings before in order to view your photos on your computer.

I do not know of anyway to remove the protection from the files already created with Content Protection enabled (.rem). Disabling Content Protection will not remove it from those files already created, only going forward.
