I have a blackberry Bold (personal not work) and i had my corporate Outlook setup to forward my work email using Redirector. I've used it this way for years and all of a sudden it stopped forwarding messages. I can SEND email using my work account so I know i am connected to the message service however the Redirector status shows: "Verifying Forwarding Address". The help function only states to contact your administrator...which I did and he couldn't figure it out.

I am not on BES and my employer will not put a personal BB on coporate BES...so my question is how in the heck do i get the Redirector to forward my messages again??? any help would be appreciated.

We tried and all the setting seem to be correct. It had been working on my Bold and previously on my 8700. All of a sudden it stopped forwarding.

Try a battery pull or reset the application, I don't know much about redirector, so I would suggest going to the aftermarket software forum and ask there.

Redirector is not aftermarket software.
It is part of the Desktop manager software that comes with every BlackBerry.

Redirector is a bit old (OK, very old)...

In my desktop manager, I do not have redirector (i'm running 5.0.0.11).

Okay folks...i found a fix. Didn't get the Redirector working so I deleted the entire Desktop Manager software and downloaded the Blackberry Professional Software which contains 1 free license to hook up to my company's MES. Since i have admin rights on my computer, i was able to install and do the Enterprise Activation and now am hooked up directly to the exchange server.

Look in c:\program files\research in motion\blackberry

File is called "Redirector.exe"

It is installed regardless of whether you select work or personal e-mail.

It has been there since the days before BES - when it was the only way to redirect mail. It is only certified to work with an Exchange e-mail system.

Can safely say with me running DM 5.0 and having checked the folder mentioned above, there is NO redirector.exe file.
