Default airplane mode blackberry bold?

I will be going on a plane so I was wondering to use airplane mode, I go to manage connections and click turn off all connections. One more thing, can I use my bluetooth headset with my phone on a plane or is bluetooth not allowed on airplanes.

You are correct in turning off all connections. Bluetooth devices are not allowed.

:/ Im not sure about the offical rules. But I use my BT with my Slacker Radio on planes all the time. I cache about 2 hours of music before getting on plane and then turn off all connections accept BT and lay back and relax.

It is a very silly rule as the radios, wifi or bluetooth don't really have an effect on the plane. But killing the radio will keep the battery from dying on you.

Good to know we have an expert here in aircraft avionics! May come in handy one day.

As everyone else said, just turn the Radio off (Mobile Network). But I thought I heard some Airlines are offering Wi-Fi on their planes. So I would just check with the Flight Attendant to see if that's true.
