Default New to BB Bold

Please Login to Remove!

Hello to all,

I've been using Palm for several years & just got a BB Bold. I do need yr help on birthday alerts.

When i input a new contact with the birthdate, hw do i link it to my calendar and hw to attach an alert? With the Palm its an automatic link so when i go to my Palm's calendar, i know who's birthday and there's an alert to remind me.

Thanks in advance.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

Go to your profiles, there should be an option there for your level phone

I did go into profiles but don't see anything related to birthday alerts in my Contacts.

Wait, I'm not understanding, do you want to change the tone when the calendar reminds you of something, or do you want the birthdate to show up in the calendar.

I wish for the birthdates to show up in my calendar when i input the data in my Contacts. For Palm OS, its automatic.

Its important so i can send a birthday sms to my customers.

Tks buddy.

When you put the birth date in your calendar, I think if your contact already has it it is in the calendar, you can set a reminder for it. Then go to profiles, advanced, and edit whatever profile you use, the one that says calendar is the one that is going to play the reminder tone.

Wirelessly posted (Bold)

Put their birthday in the birthday field, it should appear in calendar. You may have to have a default reminder time (10 minutes, etc) in the calendar options.

Of course now that I've said that I'm honestly not sure if the BB does that by itself or if it happens after syncing with Exhange/Outlook.

Scratch that- it happens within the BB- I just tried it with the radios off and it worked.
