Default OS 5.0 for Bold

Please Login to Remove!

I know this has been talked about all over the internet, including this forum, but is there any time period set for when OS 5.0 is expected to officially roll out for the Bold? I noticed that Desktop Manager 5.0 can now be downloaded from Blackberry.com so I am assuming that it is not far off now....

It will be here when it gets here. RIM is still working on it... and then the carriers have to approve it for their networks... I'd be surprised to see it before November/December... but that's just my opinion...

The phones' OS and the Desktop Manager are completely separate...

Thanks for the reply. I realize that they are two seperate things but I don't see why they would release 5.0 for desktop much prior to releasing a 5.0 OS. Shouldn't the OS version and the desktop version match when synching a device?

No. They're mutually exclusive.

I've heard it might be out either September or October.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

The key to this question will be when the next line of devices come out. 9650 or 8530.
