Default Wet bold help

Please Login to Remove!

So i'm a roofer and it started to rain the Friday I put my bold under a tarp as soon as it started raining. Usually i leave it in the car but for some reason i didnt that day. When we were done tih the job i put it in my pocket and ran to the car. I didn't tink it got that wet but i guess it did because now its all screwy. I guess i wasn't supposed to put the battery back in but i did because I didn't know . So now it works? The buttons don't work and there is a couple speccled drops under the screen. I can actually send out calls using enter but i can't answer them because the talk button doesn't work, or end them because that doesn't work either (or select). It's complicated but verrrrry screwy. The screen is fine pretty much. There is te red line on the battery indicating water damage. Is it a lost cause? I have no insurance because it was a gift ...

May be to late! Remove battery. Place BB in a bowl of rice (regular) not minute rice. Place in a warm area! Leave for a few days.
Likely the damage is done at this point but worth trying and I really hope you have insurance on it!

LOL. If an article relates from anywhere. Crackberry, BBN, BerryReview, etc. I will post. A show off initiates a thread with his or her article. I look forward to posting your stuff.

'ezrunner' has a good idea there, it actually worked for a lot of people which I know from being a technician for Sprint. So do what 'ezrunne' said with the rice and then call and have the protection put on. However, I would wait a couple of weeks before you start a claim on it so that they don't suspect anything.

My Bold fell into my dish washing water and was there for a few seconds. Took it out, pulled the battery and set it in front of a fan over night. To this day, that Bold functions perfectly.
