Default Blackberry in India from UK need help...

Please Login to Remove!

My friend had a blackberry 9000 in UK on Orange network. He gave it to me when he came to India and claimed a new phone under insurance in UK. Now i want to format and factory reset the phone.

I am using it on Vodafone India network. I do not have any blackberry services activated from the service provider.

Please guide me what all tools i need to update to the latest supported software and format the phone like a new one.

Also please tell me the phone was factory unlocked from UK but in India the Bold we get here is locked to service provider so do i need to unlock my phone after the network specific software update?

Please guide me with all the things that I should know. This is my first blackberry ever.

What you and your friend have done is illegal, and fraudulent. Orange UK will block the phone from being used, and should also be blocking the PIN with BlackBerry to.

And you are surprised why? The literal meaning of "Badmaash" means "Rogue" or "Villain"....these things should be his/their forte ;)
