Default Desktop Manager v5.0 Intellisync Unknown Error

Hello All,

This is a stupid question, but does anyone know what the unknown error is? I am trying to configure the synchronization of my Desktop Manager v5.0 operating on Windows XP x64 to my BB Bold. Whenever I click on the "Synchronization" on the Sychronization Configuration screen to start configuring my settings, I get an "Intellisync Unknown error reported." I am unable to get to the configuration mapping screen and I cannot start a sync between my Outlook files and my BB.

My system is a dual-boot between Windows XP 32-bit and 64-bit (x64). The 32-bit version works fine with DM 5.0 synchronizing between my Outlook 2003 files quickly and accurately. I have my Outlook in the 64-bit environment point to the same set of PST files so my Outlook data between the two boots are always synchronized. When I installed DM 5.0 in the 64-bit environment, it recognizes my BB, gives me the "Initial connection" dialogue and attempts to update my core applications (I cancel this because I just upgraded these using the 32-bit environment), and displays my connected PIN. I am also able to perform a successful device backup.

My concern/question revolves around DM 5.0 and its ability to work with XP x64. Has anyone else been sucessful with synchronizing between these two items? Has anyone else gotten this "Unknown error reported" when trying to configure your synchronization settings? And if so, how did you fix it?

I have Vista x64 and have no problem
I would think its a problem using both 32bit and 64bit

If you can sync fine in 32bit, why try in 64bit?
Is it a necessary thing?

I am trying to phase out my 32-bit environment, especially as I get the 64-bit versions of some of my more important software. Eventually I will be working full time in 64-bit, but want to make sure everything is working properly before I make the big leap. Since I plan to work full time in 64-bit, I will need my BB to sync to my Outlook when I am in 64-bit.

Ah makes sense.
I can only think its a conflict with running both 32 and 64bit.

Erm, there is an intellisync folder in the hidden appdata folder
(on vista that is, have to search hidden folders for intellisync)
I believe clearing that out, then trying again will recreate the files and may sync after that.
