Was this update just automated by AT&T? I was just prompted earlier today or yesterday to update and now realized that I have one heck of a lot more garbage on the phone after the update. If not, can someone explain additional beneifts (apart from the VVM capability and carrier's supported OS)? In contrast, what are the benefits of waiting? Thanks!!

Benefits of waiting for.....?
the garbage could actuallt be stuff pushed by service books, which were resent after the update.

Benefits of waiting until the rest of the bugs (if any) get worked out. As to what I called garbage, the update left a dozen or so new shopping shortcuts, etc. No biggie, but stuff I don't want and have to take the time to clean up.

Yeh, they are service books pushed to your device.

Theres no point in waiting.
It either works for you, or it doesnt.
you upgrade or downgrade. or you'll be waiting a long time.

Hey,

Im on .282 anyone found any benefits to using this o/s?

On .282 i find generally its ok, However i only get about 8-10 hours on charge on general use, and i notice it crashes a fair bit and even when i pull it, it takes about 5-10 minutes to reboot.

I did a direct download thru at&t from blackberry. Need to get the visual voice mail to work but no biggy.

Question is, a buddy would like to update but did not receive his update via at&t, is there a way to send a request in to download from device?
