Default No red star on Messages for new BBM's

Please Login to Remove!

Yesterday out the blue I started not getting the red star on my Messages folder indicating a new BBM. I hadn't installed any new apps, rebooted, or anything. It just stopped. Was working perfectly before that.

I have an unlocked Rogers Bold running .297 on AT&T. In Message options, the Display New Message Indicator option is set to Yes. In BBM options, it's set to Show Chats in Messages Application. I'm not running any third party themes.

I downloaded BBM5 to see if that fixed this issue and have done a number of battery pulls, but nothing has fixed the problem. I still get the BBM icon up by the clock, get the LED blinking, and have the sound I chose, but no icon on the messages folder.

Any ideas what might be causing this and how to fix it?

It's checked. I posted that above. All BBM's do show up in the messages folder.

Move the messages folder to different spot, then move it back to the original spot.

Tried that. Even tried hiding the Messages folder. No dice.

Just as an update, I upgraded to the latest AT&T .297 release, I have the official BBM5 release, and I did a Wipe of my Bold, but it's still not working. Also, as of yesterday, I'm no longer getting the red star on the Messages folder for Facebook messages. This is extremely frustrating, especially since I upgraded the OS and wiped the device and it's still happening.

Any ideas?

Try changing the theme and then changing back to the old theme.
