Default 9000 Trackball Issue.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there all...... I need some help.

My trackball on my 9000 has stopped working correctly. I can only scroll up, from side to side and depress it. Any ideas on how I can get it to scroll down again please? The ball itself is moving in all the disired directions but, not registering the downward movement...... HELP.

Here's a little something that I do when my trackball acts up. Take the battery out (or lock the screen).

Depress the trackball and roll it in all directions for a few seconds (30-45). Release the trackball, then depress it again, and roll it around.

Now give it a try. Make sure your fingers are dry.

Do you carry it in your pocket? If so ther eis probably dirt and lint under the ball.

Turn the device OFF. Press and roll the trackball in the direction that it DOES NOT work. Then continue pressing and roll in all directions for about a minute. Release. Turn the device back and it should now work.

And don't carry it in your pocket!

Also you could use alcohol wipes to clean the trackball and maybe even compressed air to shoot the dirt out. I DO turn my device off before doing it though.
