I have an ATT BB Bold in DTW. With a near perfect signal, my calls are repeatedly failing. When I drop my SIM in an E71 my experience on 3g is similar, but when I force it to EDGE my experience is much better.

ATT blocks the switch to force your Bold to 2g. If I debrand my Bold, will I regain that functionality. I remember reading somewhere that debranding did not restore this feature. Opinions?

use .282 Os that has the 3G switch feature in it.

I don't think you need to debrand it, just install an non AT&T OS.

The new att os that was pulled from what I hear can do that. From my understanding if you google it you can find it. 4.6.0.297 it will allow you to force 2g

Use 282 as the first response stated. It's still out there and available. It's a fine os.
