Default Dead Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

My blackberry had an error message (I'm not sure which--I think it may have said something about activation, but unfortunately I didn't write it down) last night, so I tried to hold down the red key, and nothing happened. I took out the battery, put it back in, and the Blackberry won't start. I tried leaving it plugged in overnight (without the battery in it--which was fully charged in any case before the blackberry died) and it still isn't starting.

It was new, but I have numerous notes on it--and have yet to back it up. That may be stupid, but I haven't been on the forums often and it didn't occur to me it would die inside of 20 days. Does anyone have a solution for how to somehow get the information off of the blackberry and onto my computer?

I know random things have worked for several people. Thoughts?

Best,
Max

You can try wiping your device and reloading the OS with JL_Cmder

Default hard drive

I'm trying to keep my hard drive from being wiped though--they'll send me a new blackberry in any case, but I want to back up the information.

If it won't boot, the data is gone.
An unfortunate learning experence - backups matter

Try leaving the battery out for 24 - 48 hours. Every person who has tried this so far has had their battery/blackberry problem fixed.

No just take out the battery from the bold for 24- 48 hours. Leave the device unplugged. Then put the battery back in and see what happens.

Hope I'm the only one, but I just got told the prognosis that my Bold is dead, no way of turning it on. The service center said my CPU was fried from too long charging.
I like to charge my phones overnight but the center said a couple hour charge is the way, rather than risk a fried unit.

The service center is full of crap. Most people I know, including me, charge their BlackBerrys overnight.

Are you using the charger that came with the BlackBerry?

What happens when you try to turn on the BB?

NJBlackberry is right, I personally do not charge my bold overnight, but I know everybody else who has a bold does and nothing has happened to the bold. Try leaving your battery out for 24-48 hours.

Whenever I'm home, my bold lives in the charging cradle. Has done for months and it is still working. So yeah, follow NJBlackBerry's advice.

Exclamation Blackberry 8310 Curve WILL NOT turn on or respond at all!

Hey All.
Something wierd has happened to my Blackberry 8310 Curve.
One night i turned it on and was trying to enter my password, and when i would hit the "d" key it would come up as "jw". So i removed the battery and when i went to turn it on nothing happened.
I came home and tried charging, removing the battery etc. I removed the memory card and attempted to switch it on, and it worked.
Then my idiot boyfriend decided he would remove the battery and re-enter the memory card, and from that point it wouldnt turn on again.
I have tried everything, sim card in out, memory card in out, charger connected not connected. There is no response to connecting it to the computer either.
I am seeing NO flashing red lights, or bold red lights, or anything on the screen, the phone is simply DEAD! And has been so for a week.
Please HELP!
I NEED to recover phone numbers that didnt save to my sim,
thanks guys!
