I'd like to revert to the old BBM since 5 seems to be wrecking my Bold's memory BUT BBM5 doesn't appear in my handset's list of Applications - or did you mean the app list in Desktop Manager?
Also, there is no delete option for the BBM icon.
Or, do you think it's not BBM5 which is causing my memory to disappear?
texasPI - yes, OK, I got that but my problem is that BB Messenger is NOT listed in the Applications list - this *could* be because I'm not running a data plan on this Bold at the moment. I notice it is showing in the Applications list on my Curve 8900.
So, any ideas how to get rid of Messenger if it isn't listed in the Applications? Or, is it possible to shut BBM down completely?
I'll have a look in Desktop Manager and see if I can delete it there.
Desktop Manager downgraded BBM5 back to 4.6 which now shows in the Apps list but the icon is absent!
Since I'm not running a data plan for now this doesn't matter to me; I guess if you did have a data plan then BBM4.6 will be active.
I would suggest that you delete the bbm altogether, reboot, then install it again. The application will show up once its installed. It doesn't check for connectivity unless its being used so, that should not stop it from being installed.
Its probably just messed up, so remove it via DM, reboot and install again.
