Default Screen Protector?

Please Login to Remove!

This has been posted by me on another forum, so apologies if it seems familiar.

I got my Bold on Thursday this week, after ordering some screen protectors, I peeled off the original packaging one (with the pull tab) Upon taking it off, it seems like there's some other kind of film on there which I'm not sure if it should come off or not?

Any ideas?

You can take off the film. I dont because I use it to protect my screen. It wont hurt your phone to remove it but I suggest you place something in its place

Yup, I just wasn't sure initially if the secondary bit of film was some kind of manufacturing fault?

I've always gone with invisibleshield because I've bought from them for many of my devices (Blackberrys, DSLR, Mp3 Player, etc).. but when I got my Bold I went to a local Roger's store and bought an ISkin (it's a skin that comes with a screen protector) and it's been good to me so far.

fyi, the screens are the bold are almost impossible to scratch, as they are glass (or something nearly as hard). They are nowhere nearly as easy to scratch as say a curve. I on my second bold. On my first, I had a screen protector, and never like it because the screen was not as bright.

I've had my second since june, without a protector. The screen does still not have a single nick or hairline--dada.

I've had very good experience with EXIM screen protectors. They are more expensive than other el cheapo eBay protectors, but they are more resistant to scratches, extremely clear fit perfectly on the screen and does not leave any residue.

Clarivue..pretty much the best I've found, period.

I'm using the anti-glare primarily to keep fingerprints and facial oils off. Yes, the matte finish dulls the screen brightness somewhat, but pros outweigh the cons.

Invisibleshield is impossible to put on. Biggest waste of money.

I second the comments on invisible sheild being a pita. I tried it for my bold for less then an hour after the instalation and I sent it back.

I also agree with the guy that said the bold's screen doesn't scratch that easly.
I've had no screen protector on since I got the phone in march and the screen is like new but with a couple hairlines by the blackberry logo up top. *knock on wood*

But clarivue looks like its decent. I'll have to try that out. Anybody else have comments on clarivue?
