Default Bold on Sprint network.

Please Login to Remove!

i searched kept reading that sprint is cdma but if the new tour is gsm then wouldnt the bold work

Welcome. Your post is confusing. Well, confused.

The Tour is CDMA and GSM. Will work on the original CDMA carrier or any GSM carrier.
The Bold is GSM only.

The current Bold (9000) is a GSM-only phone. The CDMA 'world phones' have CDMA for US coverage and GSM for international areas. The CDMA 'world phones' (like the Tour and the Storm) can be unlocked and used on domestic GSM networks with some effort to get them properly configured, assuming that they can get the necessary service books from the wireless service providers.

That said, Sprint doesn't have/can not send service books for the Bold to be used on their network.

oh ok so the bold is a no go on sprint. i see what you mean.
