I have a Bold on Rogers 3G and BES

In my office in Yonge/Eglinton area in Toronto I often get people telling me my calls are going straight to vmail. Yet when I look at the signal strength it shows 5 bars!

The only way I can get the phone to work and receive calls is to force it to 2G only in the network settings.

Rogers said that it is possible that other 3G networks from Bell could be confusing the phone in my area - does this make sense?

It's more likely crappy 3G service.

This happens to me everyday at my office desk. I have full bars but calls goes into voicemail. Activating EDGE devices works fine but 3G devices takes forever.

Makes lots of sense. I have been noticing this lately. IT will either say "sos" or have 3G without blackberry symbol. BUt then I turn it to 2G and it works. I usually switch it back to 3G later on in the day. BUt its definately because of bells towers I think anyways. When you search for a network The Bells network pops up always. Is their 3G going to be better than ROgers?? HOpe not
