Default 9700 Release = 5.0 OS Upgrade Soon?

Please Login to Remove!

With RIM "officially" releasing information about the "official" November release of the 9700 Onlx/Bold2...

Could that mean that the "official" release of the 5.0 OS for the 9000 Bold and other models is coming soon?

I can absolutely, positively guarantee that no one here knows. So I will guess that it will be released at some time.

two case scernario:

its released just before the 9700 so that by the time the 9700 comes out with OS 5, all the BIS implentation etc is truly in place and its working as it should, so that the 9700 can take advantage as soon as people buy it.

its released after the 9700, when they know it working for the 9700.

if RIM give one indication as to the wherabouts of the release, everyone will jump on it.

having said that.. i'm not sure if RIM is totally on point with keeping to their release dates..

Actually, RIM doesn't. RIM would know when the OS has been released to carriers, but they likely don't have any idea when the carriers are going to release it.
