Default Sync Outlook PST (Personal Folders) with Bold?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I was able to setup my Blackberry Bold to sync with my Outlook PST (AKA Personal Folders), and it of course only downloads when the device is connected to my computer.
I did this through the Syncronize options in the Desktop Manager --> Configure Reconciliation --> Personal Folders.

The problem is that it only downloads a few emails from each subfolder of the PST. My personal folders actually contain hundreds if not thousands of emails, so how does the device decide which to download?

Is there a known limit of pst emails that can be saved on the device, or is this a setting somewhere?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

You can't sync ANY mail from a PST file to your handheld.
BlackBerry devices don't sync mail.

penguin is right, you can't sync mail with a blackberry. All you can do is push new mail to the bold. If you have BIS, log in to the BIS email set up for rogers and add your outlook email address.

Ohhhhhhhh....
I'm on a BES.

Do you mean that the items that it does have in the PST were ones that came through the inbox since I setup the sync? It won't grab old items, but will recognize future email that ends up in the PST -correct?

No, incorrect.
BES does not look at PST files for mail at all. If your new messages are being delivered to a PST file, they will not be delivered to your handheld.

You need to use the server copy of your mailbox for message storage.

It will not grab old email messages, correct. It doesn't sync, it reconciles. There's a different.

Depending on the device OS and the BES version, you can search your mailbox for the older messages.

BES needs to be at least 4.1.5 and your handheld OS needs to be at least 4.5.
