Chinese Character

A friend of mine bought a spare unit of BB bold from Hong Kong. suprisingly, when turn-on the unit. its in chinese characters. Is there a way he can change the setting to English? Need some assistance.

Go to Options.
Under Input Language, select the language that was installed.
Save your changes.

If you have difficulty reading chinese then you are best of doing the following.

Get another BB that is in English and then just follow the prompts on the BB with Eng and do exactly the same on the chinese BB. Hopefully the chinese BB has english in it as it is frm HKG.

If that fails then you do the more complex procedure of changing the device software. The below link will help you in this. It is a video on adding chinese on the BB. So what you do is exactly the opposite and you should be in the money. If you not confident in this then seek expert adv or get in touch with me.
