Question Trouble with Bluetooth - 10-31-2009, 01:52 AM

Hi people

I recently purchased BB Bold 9000. I am having a hard time figuring out how to receive files via bluetooth.

I know my Bluetooth is working fine because I am able to send files to another handset (Nokia, Motorola etc) but I cannot receive files from other handsets, they prompt with an error that "service not supported".

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I have turned off my firewall and paired the other device and allowed all incoming connections, still facing this issue.

Many Thanks

Shouvik

when the other person clicks SEND on the file, you need to be at (media - menu - Receive using bluetooth [highlighted]) and then click Recieve using bluetooth to receive the file.

ok. np.

Question: How long does your BB Bold 9000 battery lives after a full charge? Actually my battery dies at the end of a day and I hardly talk 15-25 mins over phone in a day.

is this normal?

My BB is probably the most underused here.
An average day consists of playing solitaire for about an hour.
My battery lasts a while.
I dont get many texts, emails or calls.
and I dont browse on the internet either, as im in front of a pc most of the day.

Do you know any trusted website from where I can download free apps and free games for my BBB 9000? When I say "trusted", i mean free from virus/trojans etc

Thanky

You can use the blackberry app world to download app, don't worry about viruses as there aren't made for blackberries, I'm pretty sure you can have the firewall on when receiving bluetooth files, and for the battery thing. What else are you doing besides making calls. How long do you browse on the web, how much do email, text, etc. Also, make sure there aren't any apps running in the background.

This isn't the real Caesar's Palace, is it?
What do you mean?
Did um, did Caesar live here?
Um... no.
I didn't think so.
