Lock your screen, then get a piece of cloth and press down on your trackball, while at the same time rolling it around, for a few seconds (30) especially in the direction that its not scrolling in. yes, you can order a trackball.

They're the same trackball.

Dont forget though that to change the Trackball on a Bold you need to open the phone which will void the warrenty.
